Questions tutors ask
When can I start teaching?
We open applications once we have enough approved tutors. Joining this early puts you at the forefront of the company and students will find you first.
How much do I earn?
You set your own hourly rate and Learningly takes an extra commission from each lesson. Every lesson displays your earnings and the amount a student pays to keep it transparent.
Do I have to commit to a minimum number of hours?
No. You can set your availability, and a student can only request a time you have opened. You can accept or decline any request, and change your availability whenever you like.
How do I get paid?
You set up your payment account through Stripe, which handles the payout and holds your bank details. This must be completed before your profile goes live.
Do I need a DBS certificate?
You need an enhanced DBS that confirms you can work with children in order to show you have a DBS check, which is what most families filter for. Photo identification is required from everyone regardless.
